The Captain is an old Franco "air-dog" with a pegleg whom Twinsen meets at Otringal. He offers trips in his airship, the Leontine, to other islands of the surface (except Island CX) for the fare of 10 zlitos. He also offers Twinsen information about the Island CX Survivor for 100 Zlitos, then takes him to the Island of the Celebration.
After Twinsen places the Dark Monk's Key in the Temple of Celebration and has his initial conversation with Dr. FunFrock, the Captain can be seen departing from the pier in his Leontine, having brought the four Dark Monk priests to the island.
