Kurtz is an old (and maybe a little deranged) Franco that lives in a house in the Village of the Francos. As the sign in front of his house reads, Kurtz is a retired colonel, Specializing in non-scientific sciences. As many of the inhabitants of the island, Kurtz is also looking for the lost fragment, and he is intending to do so applying his knowledge in these sciences.
