Roger de la Fontaine was the burgermaster of the Island of the Francos and he was the one in charge of keeping the fragment of the Francos safe and hidden. He liked to stay close to the gas, and as a consequence, he was eaten by a gas monster, and so the fragment got lost. He had notes of the location of the fragment in a cupholder in his house, but the key to it got lost too. His brother lives in his house, in the Village of the Francos.
